Riftdle
A new League of Legends puzzle every day

Pixel

Four games on one idea: an image in blocks too big to read, sharpening every two wrong guesses.

Pixel: Splash

Splash art, heavily pixelated

Starts at 64-pixel blocks and a random skin. Every two wrong guesses sharpens it.

Pixel: Icon

The square portrait, pixelated

A 128-pixel crop of the face. Tighter, and almost no background to read.

Pixel: Default Skin

Base splash art only

No skins, ever — so the palette is always the champion's own.

Pixel: Item

The shop, pixelated

A Summoner's Rift item from its 64-pixel icon. No ARAM or Arena gear.

Which one to play

Splash is the original and the most forgiving: splash art is wide, busy and full of background, and background survives pixelation much better than a face does. The catch is the skin lottery — a Star Guardian or PROJECT skin can dress a champion in colours they never normally wear.

Default Skin removes exactly that catch. Same art, same block sizes, but always skin zero, so a palette you recognise is always telling you the truth.

Icon is the hard one. The source is the 128-pixel square portrait, cropped tight on the head with nothing else in frame — a fiftieth of a splash’s pixels, and none of the scenery. Hair and headgear tend to be all you get.

Item swaps the roster entirely: about 210 Summoner's Rift shop items, guessed from their 64-pixel icons. It is the only one of the four with no hints, because the hint track is built from champion attributes and an item has none — Skip is how you buy a sharper picture there.

What they share

Five levels each, a new one every two wrong guesses, and auto-reveal on by default. Skip costs one wrong guess and unlocks what a wrong guess would have, without spending a name. Give Up reveals the answer but does not count towards your streak. The blur slider and grayscale toggle are handicaps, not help — they make the picture harder, for players who find the unlocked levels too generous.

Every answer resets at midnight UTC, and everyone gets the same ones.
